WELCOME HOME MAC!

We have been so excited for Nate's brother Mac to come home from his mission (he was in the Philippines). Friday was the day........we set out early in the morning to meet those in the family that were going to Hogle Zoo. We were actually leaving a couple of hours early so that we could go to the Gateway with Kami to see David Archuleta. Well, just before we are to get in the car Nate calls (he had been playing basketball early that morning) and said that he got somebody's elbow in his lip and bit all the way through and needed to go get stitches (of course he did---Nate shows up at basketball and somebody must RUN for the first aid kit :) ) Anyway, we got him headed in the direction of the clinic he should go to and started on our way for SLC. By the time we had gotten almost to Brigham City I hear this strange noise. We were passing a semi so I wasn't sure if it was his truck or us, so I tried to hurry and pass him. By the time I passed him I realized it was us, so I signaled to pull over. Right then the tire BLEW and luckily we were going slower (I was almost ready to pull off) and we were all okay. So now, it is raining, Nate is laying on the table at the docs and we are stranded. So he (Nate) calls his dad to come from work to help us, but after about 5 minutes Tim Nichols (from our ward) sees us and pulls over to help. He helped change the tire (which I could do myself, but was too nervous to mess it up--knowing my morning I probably would have!), so then we drove to Ogden on our little tire (embarrassing having everyone pass us while we are going 50 MPH), so we got a new tire and were on our way again. Needless to say we missed David A. So we were off to the zoo.......

Here are some of the cousins having a grand time!

Ty's favorite part was the slides at the end! He went over and over and over. Thanks to Mary and Isaac who kept him entertained!

You never know what you will see at the zoo!

Next we went to get something to eat and let the tired babies sleep. Then we went to the hotel (Nate's family spent the night in SLC so they didn't have to drive home so late and so the could get some sleep--of course mac and Ryan -nate's dad- didn't get any sleep they stayed up all night talking!) Anyway, we watched a little bit of the Jazz game and then off to the airport. Of course he was the last one off the plane, but we were ready when he came. It was so much fun and we loved seeing him again. The boys were so excited to see their Uncle Mac again.

Here is Nate's immediate family all together.....this doesn't happen a whole lot, but we love it when it does. For some reason (lip) Nate is having a hard time smiling (sarcasm!)

Welcome home Mac! We love you!
